Showdown is a photography series, with an aim to showcase some of my favorite mysterious and eccentric videogame bossfights in a new light.

For this photo series, I took pictures of myself posing as various bosses from videogames that I’ve played and edited them to make them more convincing.
I decided to choose this topic because bossfights in video games are eccentric, as they tend to be a very impactful moment in the experience. They pose a challenge that the player must overcome to progress the game, and their methods of fighting back can be wild and unpredictable. Bossfights are also mysterious, because sometimes you won’t know who you’re fighting, and even if you do you won’t have an idea what they’ll throw at you.
